Dear Lakeside Families,

I am thrilled to share all the wonderful things happening in our classrooms as we kick off the school year. Our students are diving into new learning with enthusiasm, embracing our expectations, and making connections with new friends and their teachers. It is heartwarming to see our Lakeside family grow stronger each day, as students settle into their routines and engage in a positive and supportive environment.

If you are looking for ways to be involved this school year, one of the opportunities you have is to join our PTO. I encourage you to attend our upcoming PTO meeting on September 10th from 3:00-4:00 PM. Your involvement in the PTO is a great way to contribute to our school community and stay connected with exciting things we have planned for the year. If you are unable to join us in person, there will be a virtual option available and more information about that is to come.

Additionally, I wanted to extend an invitation to all of our families to join us for our Family Night on October 8th from 5:00-7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and get a closer look at the learning experiences we are fostering at Lakeside.

I look forward to our continued partnership and I'm excited for the new year! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan King, Principal

Free Meals for All Lakeside Students!

Lakeside learned just before school started that we have qualified as a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school. What does that mean? Every student at Lakeside can receive a free breakfast and a free lunch each school day, regardless of your family's free/reduced application status!

For families who qualify, or think they may qualify, we encourage you to still complete the application! Snack milk (served in the classroom) is not part of the CEP program, so if you don't have an approved application on file, your child's snack milk will still be charged. You can apply in the Parent Portal, or contact the office for a paper copy!

Complete the 2024-2025 Application Online!

  • Log into the parent portal to complete the application.
  • Instructions on how to fill out the application-English   Spanish   Hmong
  • Frequently Asked Questions-English   Spanish    Hmong

Please note that milk taken with cold lunch is charged for all students, regardless of their family's free/reduced status.

Thursday, September 29, 2022 Picture Day - September 18th!

Lakeside's picture day is September 18th. We will once again be utilizing Network Photography for our school pictures and yearbook. Please feel free to use the Lakeside Elementary prepay link to order your pictures ahead of time. Pictures are typically delivered to the school 3 weeks after picture day. If you do NOT order pictures online, don't worry! You can use that link to order any time through the school year and have the pictures delivered to your home. If you would like a paper order form, you can download it HERE. Your student can bring the completed order form to school on Picture Day, and hand it to the photographer.

Not in school on picture day, or not happy with your first picture? No problem! Picture retake day will be on October 15th.
