We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Family Night on October 8th from 5:00-7:00 PM and our Walk AT School event on October 9th from 7:15-7:45 AM. These are wonderful opportunities for us to come together as a community, connect, and celebrate our school spirit. Family Night will be filled with fun activities and be themed around the book The Wild Robot. We look forward to enjoying this book together as a Lakeside community.
We are still looking for volunteers to help make these events a success. If you're interested in lending a hand, please reach out to our PTO or the Lakeside Office. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Lakeside will hold parent/teacher conferences for all families on two evenings this fall:

Scholastic Book Fair Next Week!
The Lakeside PTO is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair that will be held in the Media Center October 7th - 10th. The sale will run during student lunch hours (10:50am - 12:05pm) daily, and also from 5 - 7 pm on October 8th, which is our Fall Family Night.
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello toeWallet - your child's digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child's eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy!
If you can't make it to the Fair, then shop at our school's Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Pictures from our picture day on September 18th should be arriving at school soon. If you ordered photos online or with a paper form on or before picture day, your package will come home with your student soon. If you did NOT order pictures, it's not too late! A proof sheet will come home with your student with an order link.
Don't like the photo? No problem! Lakeside's picture retake day is October 23rd. If you already ordered a package and want a retake, just send the photo package back to school with your child on the 23rd and your package will be re-created with the new photo. If you want a retake but haven't yet ordered, you can download the formHERE, or contact the office and we'll send one home with your student. Order forms need to be given to the photographer on the retake day in order to avoid shipping charges.
Bring on your creativity, Lakeside families! We will be hosting a family pumpkin decorating contest again this year. Please bring your decorated pumpkins to school for display and to be entered into the contest. We ask that NON- CARVED pumpkins be dropped off between Monday, October 28th and Wednesday, October 30th. We ask that CARVED pumpkins to be dropped off on Tuesday, October 29th. Students will vote for their favorites and winners will be announced on Thursday, October 31st!
After voting, pumpkins will be moved outside so that families can pick them up, anytime from the afternoon of Thursday, October 31st and Friday, November 1st. Any pumpkins not picked up by the 1st will be disposed of.
