Dear Lakeside Families,

Hello Lakeside Families,

I am so impressed with our school community and the engagement in virtual learning happening virtually at Lakeside. On a regular basis, I see 90-100% of students participating in their live Google Meets. Keep up the awesome work, Lakeside students and families! Our school mission is about being a positive, family-centered place dedicated to building relationships. Please reach out if there is something you need to help your family or your child with virtual learning, friendships, or anything else. We strive to make our school a place (with or without the physical location!) that is a positive experience and welcoming for all!

I am really looking forward to the Holiday Sing-along. It may be a bit clunky to have so many families on a Google Meet screen, but we are making the best out of our current reality and trying to add JOY during this holiday season. We will also have a few virtual dress up days- stay tuned to the weekly announcement videos for more information.

Finally, a very good friend reminded me that this season and this year (and truly all season and years) are not about the "things to look forward to" but about the little JOYs that you can find throughout each day. When we spend time being in the moment, learning, laughing, growing, and connecting, we find life's true JOY. I hope you are finding many small moments to make you smile.

Wishing you all well,

Mrs. Ashton

Without their generosity, our material pickups would have been difficult to keep organized. It is great knowing that we can always count on our community to lend a hand when it is needed!
