Black Wolf Bulletin
January, 31 2020; Issue 10
Dear Lakeside Families,
Happy Holidays to you! This week has been full of joyful celebrations! Our student council planned a very fun spirit week and added extra beauty to our school by asking students to design a holiday light bulb to Light Up Lakeside with Kindness. Each bulb includes special kind deeds that have been done in our school, homes, and community. We are proud of our students for the care and kindness they show. West High School's Madrigal singers made an appearance here this morning to sing Christmas carols down our hallways. It was quite a treat! Our school comes together at the end of the day on this last day for break for a holiday sing-a-long. It is a wonderful tradition we've all grown to love!
Although the holiday does not look snowy, we anticipate that January will bring us a great dumping of snow for fun-filled recesses! We expect boots are worn each day. Weather conditions can change fast and we want students to enjoy playing outside. Here are the winter recess expectations regarding what to wear on the playground:
-
Boots on the grass until late spring (when there is no snow, mud, etc.)
-
Boots and snow pants on the grass when there is snow in the grass
-
Boots on the blacktop when there is snow or slush on the blacktop
-
No boots needed if the blacktop is completely dry.
-
If there is snow on the blacktop and students do not have their boots on, there will be a small shoveled area between Doors 4 and 5 for students to stand in.
Have a wonderful holiday break! We look forward to seeing you again in 2020!
~Mrs. Ashton

-
Below 50 degrees- students need a coat
